Sugarloaf/USA Offers Five-Day Ski Week Packages Starting at $299 Per Person
Have the "good old days" returned? Sugarloaf/USA in Maine is offering Ski Week packages. It used to be that every resort had Ski Week packages so guests could ski, take lessons and improve their skills—essentially upping the "fun factor" for skiers. For some reason, either the demand dwindled, or the resorts decided it wasn't profitable to provide Ski Weeks and, at least in the U.S., they disappeared from all but a few select resorts. As far as we're concerned, you're never too skilled to take a lesson and Sugarloaf/USA is making the Ski Week an affordable option worth considering.
Sugarloaf's Classic Ski Week packages start as low as $299 per person and include five midweek nights of lodging, daily lift tickets, health club access and daily adult ski clinics (ages 19 and older). Ski Weeks are set up for Sunday arrivals and Friday departures. Guests who arrive early Sunday can ski free after 12:30 p.m.
Ski weeks are available all season excluding Dec. 24, 2006–Jan. 6, 2007, and Feb. 18–24, 2007. Prices run $299–$375 per person, maximum occupancy, in condos;
$339–$389 per person, double occupancy, at the Sugarloaf Inn;
$359–$419 per person, double occupancy, at the Grand Summit Hotel; and
$325–$419 per person, quad occupany, in a Grand Summit one-bedroom suite.
